My Story

Hairat lives with her Grandmother and brother. Her parents abandoned the children leaving them with the Grandmother to care for them all by herself. The Grandmother digs for others in order to earn some money. Many people dig in the village and it is seasonal work therefore the Grandmother cannot count on having work consistently. When she does work, she earns shs.3000 ($.86) a day. This is not enough money to meet the basic needs for the children let alone to pay for school fees. Hence, Hairat would greatly benefit with receiving a sponsor so that she may attend school and receive an education.
