Hearts & Hope
My Home Life: I live in Kainhogoga village with my maternal Uncle (Balyegisawa, Alex), my 3 cousins and my Uncle’s wife. I am an extravert person and I love school.
My responsibilities at home are fetching firewood, gardening, fetching water from the well, washing utensils and cleaning the house and compound. In 2021, my Mother died from HIV/AIDS and my Father’s whereabouts are unknown. My Uncle works so hard as a casual laborer digging in other people’s gardens. He also works on building sites; fetching water to be used in construction. He receives 200 shillings ($.06) for each 20-liter jerry can of water, but the money he earns is not enough to even pay for basic needs at home which is why I need a sponsor so that I can continue going to school.
